Question Time does not ask for your name, email address or any account.

When you vote, we store your YES/NO answer along with a scrambled (one-way hashed) device code and a hashed network address. These help prevent ordinary repeat and automated voting, but cannot guarantee one vote per person without accounts.

We count anonymous daily visits to understand how many people use the site. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.

If you enable notifications, your browser gives us a subscription code so we can send the daily question. You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser or phone settings.

We also record the device category, browser time zone, subscription dates and notification delivery outcomes. An approximate country may be supplied by the network provider. State or city information is shown only if available; we never request GPS access. Question Time subscriptions are kept separate from other websites, including Clearway Watch.
